The Copal Incense speaks to the desert sun and landscape of ancient Mexico. Copal is a generic term that comes from the indigenous Nahuatl language of the Aztecs. The burning of tree resin in Mexico goes back to Pre-Colombian times and copal is still widely used in ritual, for everything from cleansing and purification to spirituality and protection. Each package of natural, hand-rolled incense contains 20 sticks.

Note: The sticks will smoke a bit more than other incenses. They are designed to do so and it is part of copal’s lure and cleansing properties.
