The Six Note Balafon Xylophone brings native Senegalese tradition to your musical collection. The balafon is a traditional West African gourd-resonated percussion instrument that resembles a xylophone. Handmade by Senegalese artisans, each small balafon features six wooden notes and calabash gourd resonators. The entire piece is lashed with cotton cord and includes carved wooden mallets. This beautifully tuned African musical instrument is as inviting to the eye as to the hand.
